SHOPKEEPERS rubbed shoulder with multi-millionaire entrepreneurs at the Asian Business Forum's summer barbecue last night.
The event, at sponsor Mercedes Benz's base in Scotswood, Newcastle, is one of the forum's biggest events before its annual dinner at Newcastle-Gateshead Hilton in October. General secretary Rezaul Karim said: "This is a very relaxed and enjoyable night.
"We get all kinds of Asian business people ranging from shopkeepers, multi-millionaires and even a fireman together to meet and bounce ideas off each other. This event gets bigger every year. We now have 500 businesses in the forum."
